It's Times Like This...

That make you realize how unprepared you really are for some things. My sig line really came to life this past week, unfortunately. The photos below are the communities North and South of my city. Lots of property damage, but no loss of life reported in my county directly related to the flooding. Me and the Fam are just above the flood level so we are good:thumbup: I'll add some pics of my city when I get the photos off the camera.

This is Lavalle, the community of about 400 7 miles North of my city.

This is Rock Springs, the community of about 350 South of Reedsburg.

Here is a pic of Lake Delton, which spilled out into the Wisconsin River.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the flooding in many states. -Matt-

that is just amazing... smoke sent for all of of those folks.. we have been on the verge of haveing to evacuate from some fires, that got waaaay to close to our town..

I can fully appreciate how scary that must have been! Stuff like flooding and fires always renew my healthy respect for the forces of nature, and how quickly things can go wrong! This experience has taught me a lot about myself, my family, and how the average clueless citizen reacts in situations like these. -Matt-
