Another deal worth making note of
itsbroken listed an xm24 in great condition for $500 plus shipping
I happened to be the first to view and posted "I'll take it"
I saw that he had zero feedback and just recently joined the forums but went ahead with the deal
turns out he is also out of country
ok, not ideal but not a deal breaker
well
in short order I must have received 10 emails and pm's telling me I better be careful, I shouldnt trust him, if a deal is to good to be true......
I appreciate fellow forum members watching out for one another
and I understand the skepticism
I will admit, even though itsbroken was honest, upfront and answered my questions, I was a little nervous
however today I received a beautiful xm24 with a great frag scale
I felt compelled to write this post
not only to thank itsbroken
but also thank those who had my best interest in mind
and ultimately I wanted to reiterate my point from a previous post
not everyone is greedy and expects top dollar for their knife
yet everyone must start somewhere, we were all new at one point or another
Im not saying you shouldnt exercise every precaution
Im just saying give the new guy the benefit of the doubt
so again
Thank you itsbroken for a smooth transaction and a wonderful knife at a great price
and thank you bladeforums for making it all happen

Classy of you to point it out. Around 18 months ago I was new to buying from the forums here and a few good folks took the chance (as some see it) on packing up some expensive blades and shipping them to either me or my US proxy. I like to think I have never let anyone down in any way during any of my transactions, but as you said, we all have to start somewhere. Due dilligence is always needed of course and I don't think anyone just starting out here would expect it any otehr way.

I feel the same way, I'm a newb, sold one xm18 on here, positive feedback, tried to sell another one, and nobody will touch me with a pole.. Nice of you to give good reps wher it's due
