For those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting (or even enjoying a drink with) Ivan, let me state for the record that he is one of the good guys, as Uncle likes to say.
Unfortunately, we didn't spend as much time together at this year's Blade Show as we did last year, but we'll rectify that.
It looked like a great show. I really liked the look of those big knives, but I wish there had been more extensive coverage and more details on the knives and knifemakers. I'm not sure I like the new KI nearly as much as the old with Bud at the helm.
Thanks a lot, guys! That show was a lot of work - less than 3 months from start to the show date - but was a lot of fun!
And don't forget that the SPKS 2001 will be held in september, 29 and 30, and will have three times more exhiubitors than last year's. Everybody is my guest!
The best of these shows is to meet the new makers - I was amazed by the number of new maker who showed up last year and most of them very advanced in the craft. Late's see what this show will bring us.
By the way, I just got my copy of KI yesterday.

Well, Uncle Bill, I think I can get the job done and still consider it as fun as long as there are enough Antarcticas at the hotel bar and enough new khuks waiting for me at home...

And, before I forget to mention, there were five shows before this one in brazil: one in 93, two in 94, one in 96 and one in 97.
I'll ask Bruce Voiles to correct this information in a future issue in order not to bother the guys who organized the other shows, as, of course, they deserve this credit.
