Great experience dealing with Ivan. He shipped his Puffin Magnum even before I could send the payment. Really well packaged -- big knives can rattle around in a box, but not with the padding he used so well. Excellent communications all the way.

And I got a spectacular knife. i gotta go out and chop something down ... :D
 
In all seriousness, I just added the final necessary touch for a knife this big and this sharp -- a lanyard. I'll get a pic of that, a coil knot, Chris Reeve style, on a long loop.

The Puffin has a most comfortable grip. They must have designed the handle for a hand very similar to mine. And Micarta is grippy when it gets wet.

But I never underestimate the tendency of a tired and sweaty hand to lose a heavy knife on a hard swing.
 
Lets see how this looks. That's a 30 cm (12") ruler.
