I got my first Spyderco about a week ago which was a black/black Tenacious. I have since purchased a Black/Digi Paramilitary 2. I am trying to figure out what I want next.

I have my sights set on a Manix 2 black blade, Delica 4, and the Endura. I like the ball bearing lock on the Manix, but it's almost twice the weight as the Delica. What would you guys suggest as my next pick up.

What kind of question is this? The fully serrated Endura 4 ofcourse ! :D

J/k....

Wait no I'm not actually, you can't have a Spyderco collection without at least one Endura, it's unnatural.

Every Spyderwhore needs at least one H1 Knife, I would personally go with the all black Pacific Salt, light weight, 3 ounces. And looks sexy as hell. At <80 dollars you can't really go wrong.

Ive always wondered why spyderco offers an H1 knife in coated blade format....... Isnt the point of the H1 that it..................

And I cant imagine that its because they market it towards tactical

I prefer the black H1 for 2 reasons
1. Concealment, if I pull it out, it's less noticeable and dark, matte finished blades are less threatening, I do not use my Salt in water environments so I don't need a bright handle
2. Looks.. I love all black knives, as stated above.

Oh, Hey Losd, just realized you're the OP

Hey what's up Kershaws. I have also had my eye on that Pacific Salt. I just love the look of a plain edge black coated blade. What models come with a plain edge black blade?

I would look at the Manix 2 Black, but your best bet is to look here on the forums for one for sale as they are sold out on most sites, I checked the For Sale section here and found a black FFG Manix 2 but it is a combo-purchase (Manix & Lionsteel)
Also do you prefer Hollow/Sabre grind or FFG, as the FFG Manix Blacks are pretty rare

Blade HQ and Knifecenter both have the Manix 2 black in. Do you think this knife is too bulky for edc? I sure wish they had a black/black native without the combo edge.

The XL, yes. The regular one no, I had the chance to carry one for a while and it's fine. I typically wear cargo shorts and relaxed jeans. I'm also very fond of the Ball lock, one of the strongest lockups i've felt on a knife, and the blade shape fits my needs well too.
I purchased a Satin Manix yesterday here on the forums so it should be arriving next week. :p
You can look at videos on Youtube of the Manix and you can determine if it's too big for you, although it seems alot smaller once you actually have it in your hand.
Btw the grip and ergonomics on the Manix is amazing, no way it's going to slip out of your hand

Another one you might want to look at is the Native, I have never owned one so I can't really give input on it

I love the scales on the native the most out of any other Spyderco. But why the dang combo blade with the black coating... blah

There's a plain edge version lol Good luck finding it though, I haven't seen one for sale in months

If I we're you I would get the Spydercos in the following order
1. Black Manix 2 (Get it while ya' can, high demand)
2. Pacific Salt
3. Native..or whatever one you choose

Spyderco is famous for their serrations. Serrated h1 has amazing edge retention and performance. The salt knives are awesome. Everyone needs at least one serrated knife. Everyone needs at least one salt knife....do you see where this is going? ;)

Everyone needs a Military.
Best Spyderco model ever made, and one of the better knife patterns ever made no matter the company(IMO anyway),

I see you are interested in the Manix 2. Fabulous knife. I have it in CTS-XHP. If weight is your concern, check out the lightweight version, especially the new one with S110V. Mind, the BBL takes some time to break in, so don't be discourage by its stiffness at first. Another knife to look at is the Gayle Bradley. Carbon Fiber scales, CPM-M4 blade, and can be found for under $150 if you look around.
