so.... i listened to nutnfancy....i listened to cutlerylover....i sucked it up and ordered myself a tenacious...within 5 minutes of opening the box i was in love....as a matter of fact i love it so much im ordering a resilience...the tenacious is a little small...for me anyways...i wont lie the pivot point needs some oiling..it squeeks a tiny bit when i open and close it...when i used to look at spydercos i used to think they were ugly...but then all of the sudden i just became very interested in it and now i think it is one sexy knife :D...sharp as anything...i choped red bell pepper with it...did better than the kitchen knife...im thinking about getting the resilience and turning my tenacious into my food prep knife lmao

I had som gunk and grit in the pivot in my Persistence once I got it. I cleaned it with warm soap water and WD40, and oiled the pivot with gun oil. Now I can flick it open with only my pinkie. Great value knives.

If you like the Tenacious, you should spend a little more money and pick up some of their nicer knives (Manix 2, Para 2, Gayle Bradley). They're worth it IMO.

This, I love my Tenacious, it's the gateway drug for all things Spyderco.
I tend to use my Tenacious alot in the kitchen, very good slicer.

Tenacious is an awesome starting knife. One of the best at that price point.

Para 2, Military, or Manix 2 would make your day, I'm sure. Spydies may not look so pretty, but they handle and perform beautifully.

Another vote for a Gayle Bradley. A working class stunner. Handle one !!!!! That is where I got my first Spyderco Bite!! John

Congrats on ur first spyderco knife! I'll recommend that u try the paramilitary2 if u are willing and able to get one. It's probably the best all rounder knife from spyderco

i think my next spydie is gunna be a manix 2...how big is it compared to the tenacious??

Huge!!! You'll love it.

Actually it is a bit big in the handle but the blade is a very manageable size. I got my Tenacious and Manix 2 at the same time. I spent some time with the Tenacious but the Manix 2 was in my pocket today.

The only knife, besides a Vic Pioneer, I have bought two of. The price was too good to pass up. Spyderco makes some great knives.

Seriously - is there a better knife than the Tenacious for 30 bucks???

I have a bunch of more expensive spydies but the Tencious is a whole lot of knife for the money, excellent fit and finish on mine and super sharp out of the box.
