I've been drooling over this one for weeks

Hello Rod

Super knife there-- Busfield's knives are hard to find.

In terms of engraving, I am sure you are aware of a excellent engraver not too far from you- I am, of course, referring to Mr. Simon Lytton.
OK... I have enjoyed it and carried it..... and I have now taken your advice Neil, and phoned Simon.

It's on its way to him for the works to be done. :)
Cheers

NOW you're talkin!

Tell him I said hello.

I don't know whether I have done the right thing here, but I have given Simon Lytton free rein with my knife. To do with it as he wishes. (All I told him was that I was old fashioned and like traditional engraving).

So we'll see what he comes up with ! :)

I can see a need for the Gloucestershire Knife Collectors Association (not formed yet ;) ) to have a passaround!

That knife already looks very nice indeed, I can imagine that with some traditional engraving it will look even better. I hope you'll show us some more pictures when Mr Lytton sends it back to you.

Hi Roger

I hadn't realised that you were so close! Come to think about it, I thought that I was the only one in Gloucestershire who collected knives  ..... and certainly the only one here on the forum.

Cheers

Hi Rod

I think there may be one or two others in the county but those I know of are more into utilitarian fixed blades.

My folder collection doesn't contain anything quite as smart as your new addition, and certainly nothing with Simon Lytton engraving. That really is going to be something!
