...maybe, maybe on you guys and my Kershaws and ZTs. I know some of us have mistresses, a CRK, BM, etc. Well I happen to have a few too, and I really like my Spydercos. Yesterday I ordered a Southard:eek:
It just seems so nice. It's like ZT and Spyderco had a love child, well maybe. So please forgive me, I will always have a soft spot for ZTs, they are what started my present day collecting.
 
Nothing wrong with having a well rounded assortment of fixed and folders. Just my .02¢
 
Why shame on yo- no just kidding I think if our into into knives you can't pick just one company maybe a fav but not one......love spydies myself;)
 
I've actually grown a bit away from ZTs, more towards just Kershaws. I know, same company, but in terms of designs and the vibe of the products, I just like what a Kershaw would have going on more so than a ZT.

That being said, I've got 4 Spydercos. A Para 2, Sage 1 & 2, and a serrated Tenacious that I got from someone. They're nice, but since I got my CF Blur in November, I don't have a desire to carry anything else.
 
Its alright brother. Is not a bad thing to have a little of everything. Sometimes it helps you appreciate different pieces more than you would have.
 
Just be careful how close you put them together.

No worries and that's a great collabo there rycen. I've got plenty of other knives by Spyderco, Benchmade, Mcusta, Buck, Lionsteel, etc. I love them all, I just happen to have more Kershaws and ZTs as well as keep up with their releases more than any others.
 
Don't feel bad. I've actually been looking at a couple different knives from other companies. I like the looks of the Ontario Rat 1 and the blade steel is similar to 8Cr13MoV. It's also got some different colors, so that's a knife I wouldn't mind having from another company.
 
I have strayed a time or two and one of those is on my wish list I just have some obligations to my main brand first :)
 
I strayed to recently and bought a Spyderco Tenacious and the problem is now I want a Para 2.

I got one too. Couldn't resist. I'm looking into replacing the clip, though. It's not terrible, but it's not up to the standard of the rest of the knife.

BTW, compare the blade on this to the ZT 0770!

The main difference I see is that the 0770 is ramped with pretty aggressive jimping and the Southard blade has a couple of concave undulations instead of a swedge. And, of course, there's that big hole...

Oh yeah, I just noticed the high flat grind too.

my mistress....one of the few non-KAI blades that still slips in my pocket...Emerson Mini Comander...love the blade shape:-)

I am in the market for cheating on my kershaw/zts I'm trying to find a lion steel sr1a. I am having a hard time carrying any of my kershaws since I got my first zt. And I held a sr1a and now I have to have one. Just has a refined feeling about it
 
only Spyderco I have or wanted until the Southard came along. I really like the Southard but will wait till I get the 0801 and a shot at the 0800
