newly completed spearpoint bowie walking across the kitchen floor in my sock feet. It fell out of the zippered case ... I'm really lucky because it's of course shaving sharp and if it had hit just a little to the left, it would have been a trip to the hospital. It cut the piece off completely but I stuck it back on with medical tape hoping it will re-attach itself. I did the same thing with the side of my index finger two years ago and sticking it on with tape and "vet wrap" saved it! hurt though and took two weeks +....

the culprit... and the results:
 
Dude! That's nasty. Could have been a whole lot worse for sure. Even so .... that's nasty.

Hope the blades OK.

Look at it this way you still have 9 and 15/16 left. Just make sure it doesn't get infected. BTW good looking knife.....

Your lucky. I did the same thing with a much smaller knife, while wearing boots. It landed on the top of my foot, went through my boot and cut deep enough that it was sticking out of my foot till I leaned over to grab it and it fell out. Narrowly missed an artery. That was with a little 3" hunter that wasn't even a full tang! With a knife like yours you coulda nailed your foot to the floor! :eek:

LOL, i sliced a piece of my middle finger (land hand) once, exactly the same size of chop as you did, the only difference was i cut it from the other side (i was holding something down and slicing that "something" and smehow just managed to move my pointing finger away so middle one got chopped). It grew back but i still have nice crescent there :D Nothing like the rest of my scars though, i'm a klutz :grumpy:
 
Cool Bowie, love every thing about it, especialy the edge! :D Just watch the toe, if it starts turning green go see the doc.

Man I'm glad you didn't hurt that beautiful knife! Who cares about a little cut? Just make sure the knife is okay...
