• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I've Gone Green... I'm Recycling Squirrel!

For the record, I do not condone the abuse of squirrels. However, I do advocate recycling road kill where possible. :D

I wonder if they kept it's tail???

I probably should have mentioned in my post that I don't condone this behavior and find no humor in it.

What surprised me was the fact that the "man" was charged with illegal possession of a fox squirrel out of season. I'm sure this is one of those things that is left up to the officers discretion and was added to teach the individual a lesson.

Officer - "Whatcha doin there son?"

Man in street - " Just pickin' up this roadkill. getting it off the street."

Officer - "Can I see your small game license?"

:D

I was surprised by the charges as well and I'm sure you are right. I could be wrong but I don't believe there's a season on squirrel in Texas.

Looks like a really good fly. I'll try it thanks.

I think the charges were brought because they were apparently using the squirrel to vandalize the parking garage and vehicles, not because they were vandalizing the squirrel.

My dog hunts squirrel out of season all the time. Fortunately, he is not a very skilled poacher. ;)

Let know if it produces for you. I like this pattern because it's so versatile. It can be fished as a streamer or dry. If all you had in your fly box was this and some wooly buggers I think you could produce just about anywhere.

I like presenting this to trout holding a little deeper with a split shot about 12 inches above the fly. Good luck!
