I've got a mad jones for a tomahawk......

To top it off, there are stories of voyageurs ( among many others ) taking native wives and having families, then when it became possible to bring the white wives out, disowning and kicking their native family out to fend for themselves.

Where would one find a good pipe 'hawk? Always did want one of them. :D

Didn't want to start a new thread to say:

www.atlantacutlery.com
has their frontier hawk & their weeping heart hawk
each on the clearance page for $30 each.

Did I read somewhere that Atl.Cut. is now wholely owned
by Windlass Steelcrafts?

We now return you to our regularly scheduled thread.

.

I have an ATC Roger's rangers hawk. I like it, it's very solid and good steel. It throws well. A little pricey at $135. One of these days I'll get a hammerpoll hawk with a curly maple handle, when the right one calls to me.

Unlike some of the other hurtful words with more than one meaning or application the "S" word among any ndn is more than hurtful.
The proper word for an ndn female is woman, lady, or such.
The "S" word is like calling any female a dirty rotten C*nt, a Filthy C*m drinking bitch, a F**king Dirty Slut and so on. Oklahoma is one state that is changing all the reference place names with the "S" word in them to something more descriptive and not hurtful.
I wrote one of these places about the use of the "S" word in relation to a Lady's 'Hawk, but I don't recall which one and all the e-mail I had saved on my old computer wasn't retrievable so I couldn't follow up on it.
The ndns have been trying to get Arizona to change their place names with the "S" word in them such as "S" Peak Mountain, "S" Peak Expressway and etc.
Originally "S" Peak was called "S" Tit Peak and with the coming of the Eastern and other Gentile Ladies the "Tit" was dropped so as to not embarrass or otherwise insult their senses.

But like the ndn mascot issue the Yonegi say, "Well. we are just trying to honor your people."
Bullsh!t!!!!:(

Yvsa,

That is very interesting. I never knew that but never really used the word cause I always though it just sounded the way you say it is taken.

I might be persuaded to trade for one of these...

Is that one smokeable?

I can tape a cigarette to the end, but that'll cost you extra. Besides, my tomahawks are made for covert deanimation activities. Order the Special Forces model and get the blood spurt shield too. ;)

You can actually smoke a pipe hawk? No way. Where do you suck?

I have been looking at a Rodgers Ranger myself.

hi sweet, i like some of those francisca's, i have a nice hand forged custom hawk sim. to the one 3rd from left, top row, had it made by a guy in pennsylvania 30+ yrs ago...

saw the TH's on rmj's site, the closed cho''s are a bit big on some of them tho.
kami's musta been tryin to save a bit of steel....and have they been properly blessed?

i'd rather one w/o the pipey bit - scatters hot ash all over the place if'n you have to hit somebody with it while your'e smokin.

No, I'm not touching that line...

The answer is, technically, yes. The shaft is drilled through for an airway. The problem is that metal doesn't smoke well first of all, and secondly that the bowl is tiny...you can't fit much more than a pinch into it. Nice as a wallhanger, not much real practical use as a pipe. YMMV, IMHO, etc...

Yes, way.----
You draw the smoke through the handle. I have two pipe 'hawks that have both been smoked. I smoked one with several non-ndns once and one complained because he got his wittle finner cut on the sharp edge of the blade.
Ignorant bastard should've known it was sharp and too keep his finger's off the edge. :D

Uwinv some pipe 'hawks hold a lot more than others. Even though both of mine are on the smaller side they will each hold enough to pass around to at least a half dozen people.;) :D
