My wife's friend came over today and asked me to help her find a knife for her fiance. The last knife she bought him was a SOG about 5 years ago, but I'm unsure of the model number. He likes flip knives, with non serrated edges. Her budget is $100.

I'd be able to help her if it were a fixed blade or traditional, but her needs are out of my realm.

Have her look at Stedemon knives a d the Kizer Vanguard series. Can't really be beat for the price.
