This is what I gained today.

It's akebi, a kind of creeping plant.
The fruit is gently sweet, has a very good taste.
This is the overall scene, the fruit get circled.

A couple of white-eye, small birds up to 4" long,
came to eat this fruit and found me. I got a serious
warning call from them telling me "get away now!".
They are known for beautiful voice, pretty looking and
aggressive temptation.

Domo, untamed-san. Thanks for looking.

Both of them I got are partially eaten by white-eye (zosterops japonicus).

Perfectly ripe, Autumn must be upon you.

Just seen the below one. Kinda reminds me of a frustrated pig's bollock.

Yes. They are quite common in the forest hill.
If you hike around country field, I'm sure you will find them.
Maybe at first a little bit difficult to find, as you can see in the picture.
Even I cannot identify the exact plant of this fruit in this picture because
they are all entangled as much as they can.

But not much hard. Maybe birds tell it's existence like my case.
mejiro(white-eye) knows the fruit location better than us as it is their
favorite food.

Oh, I forgot to tell you one thing, Stitchawl.
Don't chew the black seeds as they are very bitter.
Separate them inside your mouth and eat only white jerry parts.

I heard purple outer cover is also edible but I never tried it.
