Yikes Danelle, you're in my prayers till you're all healed up!!!!!!
My Mom had shingles on her face and took meds for it and used cortisone ointment and whooped it! I sure hope it doesn't take long for you to kick it's butt!
You might want to look online for some homieopathic remedies. Still take the meds your doc gave you but I bet you can find a recipe for something to rub on the affected are that will reduce the pain.

Hey all, thanks for all the concern and advice. The surface blisters are all gone, and it was limited to just my back, I think because I got on the acyclovir pretty fast. I don't have health insurance but luckily someone in the motorcycle club we belong to is an MD and called me in a script. I got a little tingly and numb around my side and chest, but no blisters came out. It still feels numb to this day.

I am still having nerve pain, it feels more like a constant charlie horse. I've been told that may last forever.

Hope this is the end of it for you- It's awful stuff. I took care of my Grandmother who used to get them all of the time. Miserable. Get back to 100% soon!
