You know, after I took the INFI off the pork, a tiny, strange-looking, older guy did appear for just a few seconds.

He had but one cryptic message, which I captured in this hastily taken snapshot.

I've been doing some research that involves using an intertextual lens, and after posting this thread, I was struck by how many different threads/jokes/ideas converge in this single photo. It's so text "rich," so contextually dependent, so discursive in nature, that it is basically indecipherable to someone on the outside of the discourse.

However, you've got at least six major themes, derived from dozens of other "texts," that are well understood by the folks here.

1. Grilled meat (a Fogo's Tradition and a HOG mainstay)
2. Pork chop (the HOG connection being pretty apparent)
3. Zed from Zardoz (a longtime mischief icon here in the Busse subforum)
4. Photochops of known players (Skunk as Zed in this case)
5. Drink Kool-Aid (of Internet Kool-Aid Slurpee Club fame)
6. My own HOG name (Guy on a Porkchop)

Possible #7 ... think those are his Ganzaaaa panties?

Those are cool. Just about every contestant last year at the Jack Daniel's World Championship BBQ had at least one of them. I don't know if Big Green Egg provided them as a promotional, or if the cookers really were that popular. But folks sure seemed to like them. They're not cheap, as far as grills go, but I've been thinking about getting a large Egg to replace the Weber.
