I've just put our house on the market

So sorry to hear about your misfortune, Max. I hope things work out well for you in the end. Keep your positive outlook and sense of humor about you and you'll be OK.

And contact that firefighter in the bikini - I hear he's looking for a place with privacy and is willing to pay top dollar. ;)

That's a damn shame (both for you and your sick relative). I once had three years in my slice of heaven and at least the memories last forever.

Sorry to hear about this turn of events. It must be very disappointing.

HOWEVER!!! You might be retired but you're not OLD yet. Life has a way of evening things out, and you have time left to still enjoy your just desserts, just maybe a little later.

Max,

Sorry to hear this. I can't imagine having to sell my little piece of heaven, let alone moving to a city. My thoughts will be with you.

It's on the market at offers over £235,000, or $463,000.
Holy Crap!! No offense, but that house looks tiny! Does it include land? Or is that price dictated by demand / overpopulation / housing shortages?

Regardless, I'm very sympathetic that you must leave. The countryside and water looks beautiful. Our daffodils are blooming this week also.

...and back to something like this:
Ughh... Cookie-cutter subdivisions and apartments are good for surplus human storage, but living in one of those places (again) would destroy my soul.

Hopefully your situation will work itself out and the resettlement won't be permanent.

Best Wishes,
-Bob

It's the three golden words of real estate, Bob. Location, location, location.
So if you moved to the 'wrong' side of the island, that house would be a more reasonable $60,000?
???
-Bob

Ouch Maximus, this is like Escape to the Country in reverse  Perhaps it will end the same way for you - most couples don't move to their new home, at least not on that show :p

Just watch Straw Dogs and you'll be running as fast as you can back to London. :p

In case you haven't seen the film, it's like European Deliverance.

-Bob

Boy I sure do hate to see you leave your place. It sort of relaxes me just looking at the pictures. I'm remembering your move there and it seems like it wasn't that long ago. How long did you get to stay on the island?

Razz

Man I feel sick for you, if I'd not moved to Canada it was my dream to move to scotland !!!
