I've lost it!

Do you have a dog? I left my keys on a bench in my house, and I was sure of it. I looked and looked and couldn't find it. Then I realized that my dog might have picked them up. Sure enough, I went to his little hiding spot, and there they were.

It'll turn up. My 11 y o son just found his BM (some red box model) today. It was MIA for about 3 months. Me and him both had been keeping out eyes open for it. Don't panic. Beside it'll give you something to add to a Christmas list.

I lost one of my DMT diafolds about a week ago, thought I left it in the garage and about tore it down looking for it. Tonight before going to work I moved some junk mail on my dresser and there she was, like others have said it will find you :)

A lot of the times I've lost knives and was sure I left them on a dresser or countertop, I'd end up hearing them days later, clanging around in the dryer. :(

Don't fret, it will turn up. Knives, like sunglasses, turn up in the weirdest places.

I second what everybody has said. I lost my Delica 4 a while after getting it-I was frantic!

I found it shortly after though. Now I always carry my knife wherever I go, that or leave it in a dedicated drawer where I know nobody will touch it.

Even if you don't find it, it's not the end of the world. Take it as a lesson, save up for a new one and after that treat your knife like your wife :D

Being of the same age group, I can certainly empathise with your problems with your parents. As other members have suggested, there's always a way to make enough money for a new blade.

Only knife related piece I've lost lately. (in my adult years) was a SOG Powerlock, multi-tool. Worked on my Toyota and must have left it under the hood. It never did turn up and I suppose it fell out on the road.

Somewhere is a Buck Crosslock that I picked up for $20 at a gunshow. Best I can tell I left it in the bed of my truck and it fell out when I was dropping a deer off at Glier's in Covington to have it turned into sausages.

I also lost my first Beretta Loveless hunter to (I'm positive) a stray dog who took it off the tailgate of my truck where I left it overnight. It was covered in blood and fat and was probably just too tasty to ignore. I keep expecting to find it sticking out of my mower tire one day.

I think those two are truly lost, but there have been dozens that have eventually made their way back into my pocket.

I lost a Buck once, my 303. Gone for a long time, bought another slipjoint. Then it turned up under a recliner.

No, I sleepwalk from time to time. Usually when I've been taking some kind of antihistimine or Ny-Quill.

I don't mean to laugh but that response came so unexpected it caught me off guard! My first thought was young mischievous kids too.
Stay safe when you're sleepwalking bro. Better yet, I hope you don't get sick too often so you won't have to resort to taking those cold meds.

Kind of sucks, I'm sick now, so I'm waking up finding some crazy things moved around.

My Buck 347 Vantage Pro has hidden from me twice since it arrived in Feb. The first time, it was apparently a hockey puck for our cats. I heard something hit metal in the kitchen and got a flashlight. I looked under the condensate catch pan beneath my refidgerator's coils... there it was! One day lost. The second time it was gone for days - visions of replacement filled my mind. I finally decided to look for change for our coin bank - and tipped my cheesy leather recliner. I found $.82... and heard something in the velcroed back cover - my knife was found. You bet I had checked the cushions... it found a passage past them. Mine hid well because I remove the clips on my knives - they are 'pocket knives' to me.

Keep looking! Good luck.

Its probably the first of several you be looking for as the years go by. I just lost a Spyderco with a Krien regrind and a memory stick with all kinds of work files on it. Its the knife thats bothering me most.

I think this is an experience you will never forget, it's about growing up and being aware of your belongings. Live and learn, truth is you may have been careless for losing your knife. In the same way, ask any gun owner how many guns have they lost, i'm sure most of them will say zero or hopefully none! My advice is take care of your knives as if they were potentially dangerous weapons like guns and knvies that should always be under your posession.

Still looking, but now I'm 100% sure it's somewhere in my house! Though things have been known to mysteriously disappear then randomly appear in the trash bags when I go out to take the trash :(.

Don't worry your parents will find it. ;)

My son is constantly losing something and his mother or me (his dad) is constantly finding the lost items.

My parents don't look for something once it's lost for a day :P if it turns up it turns up. I'm the searcher of the family.
