Finally here! Now I get to really practice my survival skills and hone everything and anything I can. Plus I get to really test out all that equipment you all have shown/taught/suggested I have! :D Many of you have really taught/inspired me to be prepared (in word and action, good and not so good!) and I thank you all.

here's some sunset shots from the front yard:
Mt Rainier;

Mt St Helens (with eruptions);

today I finally got a nice n clear day to take em with my 2x telephoto lens.

Nice shots! Tough to beat the Pac NW in the summer. I miss it still! :)

Looks nice!
BTW where did you move from? If you don't mind me askin':o

From Chicago (and a slight layover/detour in southern Ill, year and half) too green mountain acres! "goodbye city life..."

The search for fatwood and handle material for my upcoming BF knife begins! :D

Hi Dantor, great to see you got what you wanted in life, but keep in mind, survival and outdoor skills are a life long lesson, so keep asking and keep up with any and all books and info on the out doors and survival skills.

look at it this way, years from now you may be the next Ron Hood if you try hard, but most people are just happy to keep there outdoor skills for self and family and some friends, like me.

Any way, good luck in your new life and city, i feel it will all work out for you, have some great camping trips, Oregon is a great place to camp and backpack, just one thing i don't like is all the rain.

Your friend at the post Donald S.
