This little tip breakage is nothing. One guy had 3 blades crack on him by just opening and closing the knife.

Now... that is bad luck!!!

There is a thread like this in the Emerson forum...guy tried to break the CQC-7 and failed to do so; he did break a PM2 very early on in this test, but not the Emerson...and not one temper tantrum.;)
 
This has nothing to do with whatever brand is being discussed. You can find examples of every major manufacturer with broken tips from being dropped.
 
Didn't want to answer my questions? I didn't think you would lol I see you post videos quite a bit in different forums kudos for learning how to post vids. If your under the impression Emerson 154cm won't break a tip use the search function.

Since you like videos so much why not post the video of vininull testing the 0550 it did everything the Emerson did WITHOUT lock failure.

I get you like Emersons but please don't pretend there the be all end all of tough knives... cold steel at half the price in xhp steel will spank an Emerson in toughness. Period. Triad vs liner lock ?? So get real about how "hard use" you think they are.

I'm closing this before it turns in to an unnecessary pissing content. We've learned...again....tips can break when a knife is dropped.
