I've started a busse fund!

I dont have a credit card, so thats why I have to save and this will be my only busse for a while. I know everyone says that they are addicting, but I can only see value for money in me buying one. And I'm probably being stubborn, but I like the FFBM so thats the one I want, as it has the 10 inch blade. Or the FBM CG. But either way a knife from the battle mistress series.

I think you're on the right track. You're saving for one knife and its probably the best knife out there if you're only going to have one. Despite my sickness and multiple Busses, I try to subscribe to the same line of thinking. You appreciate it more, you get more use out of it, and it pays for itself quicker through use. You buy 5 of something and it becomes almost a game just trying to rationalize owning them. Good for you.

I save one dollar bills when I get them. You can't buy much with a dollar and they just make your wallet thicker so I put them away every evening.

I won my first Busse Combat in the Santaganza... which I traded for my second Busse, my grail.

So, yeah, have owned two so far but have never purchased one... yet!

I do have a few SYKCO's and a RMD is ordered.

Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by posting here without owning a busse
I'm still a knife newbie (sort of), but I do have another smaller fixed blade on order from KSF, but I've decided I want a Busse. A FFBM or something very similar. I know this will probably be hard to find as they are not being made anymore I think.

But in order to get what I want I've started a Busse fund.

Just wondering how you guys all afforded your first Busse. Maybe you were loaded already, or did you sell off most of your collection (not that I have one) Also how long did it take you to afford your first Busse knife.?

And do I have any hope of getting a FFBM?

thanks guys

Well, actually I did not afford my first one. I traded into a FBMLE, and technically my Ash1 CG. Still can't believe I traded an AR pistol, but I really wanted a BM, and I was planning on selling that gun for a while to fund my first infi. (I was in law school at the time, so I had no spare change).

Don't worry, just keep saving your nickles and dimes, and buy one.

come to think of it, I have been doing that for decades now. I bought my first Handgun when I was 12 years old. Really had to save some pennies for that (.30 carbine AMT Automag, not the finest machining, but that sucker still shoots straighter and easier than any other gun I have ever owned, besides my MarkI Ruger Target, the 2nd gun I bought that year).

well I just saved another 16 bucks to the fund, so thats about 88 bucks so far.
I've also gonig to see, when the time comes for me to buy it, I was told by a mate to take a look at the FBMLE, as if I'm already spending 500 bucks on a FFBM, I might as well spend the extra 200 and get the FBMLE. Plus I like the satin finish better.

@Maqua - I guess since I only intend to get one busse, I want it to be the best one I can get, yet the one I find the most appealing to me, so for that its the FFBM or the FBMLE.

The NMFBM just doesn't do it for me.

EDIT: also, would it annoy everyone if I updated how much was in my busse fund, after I break the next hundred barrier?

If you can hold out for the FBMLE, I say do it. The FBMLE would be my grail knife, if I did that. If you are just planning on getting one, it might as well be the one you'll get most pleasure out of, and not have to think, 'I wish I had held out for that LE'. That's my thinking, anyway.

Updates certainly won't annoy me :)

Good luck with the saving!

Welcome to our Sickness! :rolleyes::D

Hey, if folks can post about their post count, you can post about your Busse Account.

Stick around!
