IWB System for 110?

He had the year pretty close also for 3rd version. All wrong for 2nd version. He must not have a copy of the blade guide... Sell him your extra copy Mike. How in the world did you end up with two copies?

I think with a better write up this knife might have gone even higher than it did. Even with the worn blade. Look at the last line bottom of the page on colum 2 on page 506 of the blade guide.....

Is the one I posted above in the sirus comparison photo. and mine is WaYYYYYY nicer than the one that just sold..... :D

Well, I ordered a copy from Larry and forgot about it and went ahead and ordered one from a book store. I ended up making a deal with Hone$ttom for it and it is on its way to him.

I'd have thought someone would think of the horizontal nylon belt sheath/pouch Buck makes for 110 style knives.I use one to carry my BG42 560, its not IWB but its damn near unnoticeable and its easily accessable. With the 560's light weight I hardly know its there. I added a One Armed Bandit to the blade and its out of the sheath and open in a flash when needed. The best part is that its all Buck made.

Wow ZZJake...That is truly like "The Shinng". I just tried the 560 in that sheath today. BUT, I was concerned about the sharper edges of the 560 body eventually wearing through the nylon. How long have you been using that combo and, apparently, I am guessing it's wearing ok?

Also, on another note...is there a better book than Blade's that has more comprehensive coverage of the BUCK 110 series?

Thanks,
Goose.

Goose. I've carried this set up for about 18 months with no noticible wear on the sheath. I do carry the Bandit side of the blade on the no seam side of the sheath for easier withdrawl, though.

I have no idea about any sources of coverage on the 110 series other than Blades. I did have a wealth of info on my old computer, 4 years of research, sadly, I lost it all when the comp crashed, including all my info on my old user name here on the Forums. Ive been a member since 1999

Just my .02...

If you are looking for a decent size blade to carry try a 500 series. I carry either a 500 or 532 in a BCCI slip pouch pretty much everyday at work... a nice size balde in a slim profile.

If you want to carry a Buck that's up to serious cutting, but fit's with dress clothes, treat yourself to a 172 Mayo. Find one on the used market for $135.00 or so. Then take it apart and round off al the corners. It's a little rough out of the box, but is a fine knife that will serve you will.
