Izula 2 EDC carry method?

Hey guys. I've recently been wanting to carry my Izula 2 as my EDC blade. I've tried the belt clips both vertically and horizontally but don't like it because it keeps getting caught on stuff at work. I just put a small lanyard with a monkey fist on the end of it and have been carrying it in my right pocket. You guys think that'll keep it in there good enough? It's my favorite knife and I'm afraid I'm going to lose it. I've lost so many knives that didn't have pocket clips on them. Just wondering if anybody has had any good secure non belt carry methods. Thanks!

Try flipping the belt clip so that the sheath is riding on the inside of your waistband. If that doesn't work for you then try carrying it as a necker.

I stuck a Nite-Ize eCLIPse to a piece of kydex and mount it to my Izula sheath:

When I carry a Becker BK11 or 24, I use the stock sheath stood upright between my wallet and body in rear right pocket.

This has been comfortable for the last year, but I will be making a leather crossdraw soon.

When I had one I just stuck it in it's sheath and dropped the whole thing in my pocket.
Seemed to work OK for me.

I carry an Izula on and off and I do it horizontal on my belt cross draw. However it doesn't get caught when I carry it at 1 or 2 o'clock (not crossdraw) either I just like to be able to get it and put it away with my left hand while my right hand is occupied.

Strip the coating off the blade, it makes a much better every day knife then.

Tie a length of para cord to the front top hole of the Izula sheath and on the other end of the para cord a loop large enough to thread your belt through.

Carry the Izula in your right front pocket and when drawing the knife pop the sheath off the blade with your thumb and the sheath should dangle out side your pocket until resheathing and placing the knife and sheath back into the pocket.

Another way is to tie a large knot like a monkey fist instead of a belt loop and just run the monkey fist up under the belt with knot resting on the top of the belt.

I've carried the Izula 2 a few times. But because of the handle thickness, I think it works better for me on the belt. But the standard Izula makes for a perfect back pocket drop in. The included plastic sleeve works well for retention and is perfectly thin. But I made a leather pocket sleeve that almost disappears in pocket, and stays in place upon draw.

Then of course there's the tiny Candiru. Without the handles, you could almost hide in a wallet. But I prefer them for comfortable grip and solid purchase. The included nylon/Velcro sheath with the Candiru is great for travel or hiking, but not so much for easy access. I folded a tiny piece of Kydex for it, and added a removable leather wrap for horizontal belt carry, and grommets on the end for neck wear. Although I've never warmed up to neck wear with anything, let alone knives.

In the pic I also added a couple other knives I like to pocket carry. The little Fitz design. Left in Stag (also in homemade sleeve), right G10 with included necker Kydex. I consider them a bit lighter duty than the Esee's, but still very functional. Especially the stag, never hurts to look good with functionality. [emoji16] And with the thin stock and hollow grind, that little Fitz takes a killer razor edge.
