Izula 2 Lanyard advice needed

Hey guys. I want to start carrying my Izula 2 but I hate wearing it on my belt with the belt clip that comes with it. Where I work I get in and out of multiple vehicles and it kept getting caught on stuff. I started carrying it in my front pocket where my Leatherman used to be but without a clip or something to help keep it there in afraid it's going to slip out and I'll lose it. I just made a monkey fist but I can't find a good knot or method to attach it to the knife. What kind of knot or contraption would you guys recommend? Is the monkey fist a good idea? Any suggestions will help. Thanks in advance!
