Would any of you guys suggest or do it? I was thinking about it because I would feel much safer walking around at night if I had quick access.

I've been toting mine in my front pocket for 3 months now.
Its my favorite EDC.
The handle feels much better if you cord wrap it IMO.

As long as it is legal where you live, go ahead.

My EDC is not an Izula, it is a slightly larger fixed blade. Yet still fits in a pocket, or on my belt. Depending on how I am dressed or what I will be doing that day.

Nothing wrong with EDC'ing a fixed blade.

I think EDC'ing a fixed blade would be great. However, if the cop really wants to, I could probably get into serious trouble carrying a mid sized locking folder, so I have never gone near a fixed for EDC :(. If you have clear laws allowing you to, I would go for it though:thumbup:.

My Izula has been around my neck, under my shirt since I got it. Carries great and is just about the perfect size for an EDC fixed blade.

I've been EDCing mine since just after SHOT this year. It's great. Do it. :D

I prefer a folder, but im sure the izula would work great:). I have one on my edc bag and i take it hiking a lot

I carry mine as an EDC in my front pocket. It's slim and lightweight and comes out faster than any folder. Go for it.

Well, I believe the law in my area is anything under 3 inches can be concealed and anything over that has to be visible so I am safe with laws. I think I am going to go ahead and purchase one this week.

I think newgraham has the best price right now, can anybody confirm this or steer me in the right direction? I am pretty new to knives, so I dont really know that many online stores yet. Thanks for the help.

Check out Knivesshipfree.com Derrick does a great job taking care of people. The Izula is a wonderful EDC blade, btw. I have one on my "get home bag"/"BOB" along with a RC-3. I am sure you'll be happy with it.
Cheers!

I carry mine on occasion. Now, it's mostly a small Micarta Sebenza, since my SIS and pepper spray are my go too defensive tools.

I don't really think of my carry knife as a defensive tool, although I have a little training in weapon retention using a knife. I mainly carry one for basic daily use. So, the small Sebenza is just fine for my daily needs. I will carry one defensively along with pepper spray if I'm in one of the very few "no carry" zones here in South Texas, and it is always the Izula instead of my Sebenza or Striders.

I carry the Izula more when we go for a walk, for example. When I do carry it, I either put it in my front left pocket (along with a spare magazine) and the lanyard around my belt so the sheath will catch, or I put it on my belt horizontally on my left side above my rear pocket.

If my main reason for carrying a knife was for defense, I'd be more than happy to carry the Izula. The blade's cutting edge is very similar in size to the Strider SNG, although the SNG has a little more reach. It's a great little knife and it is the perfect daily carry fixed blade.

You can see how the blade compares to the Strider here. The izula has more belly though.

I carry mine in my front left pocket and a Spyderco folder in my front right pocket. The Izula is just about the perfect fixed blade for EDC. I will also put in another vote for knivesshipfree.com - that's where I got both my Izulas from and they took very good care of me. Knives shipped out same day and I got them three days later.

My Izula has been my EDC fixed blade knife since I got it three weeks ago.

I live in a region of Florida where fixed blade knifes are often carried openly without attracting negative attention. I use paracord to lash it to my belt.

The little knife has really impressed me. I also own a RAT-3 which is also a great EDC. Both have excellent sheaths which provide a lot of carry options.

Will the molle lock it comes with jab my leg when i sit down? Do you guys think i should get a tek lok with it to attach to my belt?
