man that's one nasty poke... I really hope all goes well for you, do you have complete function/feeling of your arm/hand??

I 'poked' my right hand ring finger where it attaches to the palm last March battoning wood (like and idiot without gloves).. It never bled and was a 1/4 long, the problem was it went all the way to the bone, in the process punctured my tendon..

I still have problems with it now, God willing its just a slow healer..

Take care out there people, ANYTHING can and will happen.. Imagine if you were by yourself, some die from little flesh wounds..

Don't for a minute think this cant happen to you..

It's a superficial nerve so skin numbness. Full function, just the back of my hand on some parts are numb. I'll make a diagram later tonight.
 
Damn those little ants have a serious bite! As others have said, I hope the surgery goes well and you heal quickly.
 
That is a serious bite. Hope the nerve can be repaired.

I wonder if anyone has had a Doctor or nurse walk in while they were taking a photo of their new RAT bite. That would be funny.

Kinda the pinkish areas. the inside-top quarter of my thumb, and down to the cut. I can't feel the skin, but I can feel under that. It's so weird.
 
that'll buff right out!

you may have that numbness for several months... but the nerve should regrow.
