OK, so I wrote a nice long post on my wrapping adventure last night but in my blood loss frenzy I must have forgot to submit. :)

I love the Izula which I just got. Looks to be a great day hike and companion knife to a larger knife. I decided to wrap the handle. Well, everything was going great until the finishing knot. I lost concentration for a second and slash... a deep cut diagonally across my thumb. A trip to the ER and 5 stitches later (Doc said he could do 10 but the less the better) I finished the knot... although not a very nice knot. :o

Is there a manly Izula blood club I can join? Maybe we can do t-shirts? I suppose it could be the dumb ass award to! Well, still think the Izula is a great knife and look forward to using it after the stitches are out.... and yes I cleaned up the izula.

Nice hope your healing. I have had the prybar on my HEST go into my hand twice now, all stupid on my part not the knife. But I do think there is a club, and if not I'll just start one lol

We get at least one "I cut the crap outta meself" per week.

No official club yet. Most folks just try to keep their embarrassment to themselves.

Double tap from the stoopid, freaking, no good, god forsaken, sonofa, peice of crap Android phone.....from hell.

Wow, is the prybar on the HEST really sharp enough to draw blood, or did you sharpen yours?

Honestly this is ***king hilarious because of all the super sharp knives I've purchased, somehow the only one I managed to cut myself with was the Izula. Oh, and and BTW, when I cut myself with mine, the sheath was ON. Beat that. =)

I think i'm doing things wrong. Have wrapped it 3 times now and no blood.

Screw that noise! Knife popped out of the sheath on me tying the finishing knot. In my thread "Izula Bite aka a Lesson on Stitches". For those eating lunch....

I haven't cut myself while wrapping an Izula. I did cut myself while using it to open another knife though.

My thumb is wrapped up like a mummies thumb right now. Yeah, I felt pretty stupid after I was trying to be sooooo cautious tying the knot. Little Izula popped out of the sheath and when to do what she does best.

NICE Fail picture!!!

I'm glad I saw the cord wrap fail pic before I wrapped my Izula, I masking taped the blade and saved my self a trip the ER.

I have nicked myself on the wire breaker portion of the HEST... but have yet to cut myself with the Izula (knock on wood) :D

What like this? There is discussion of me selling my cord wrap fail to Jeff for the website. Haha.

A little rule I always use...the knife is not yours until you cut yourself with it.

I have been really careful with my Izula. Haven't cut myself with it, due to the reminder on my knuckle from my Mora getting me. I would hate to see what the Izula would do compared to that Mora.

The Izula is hungry... WRAP me... if you dare!

When I was wrapping/unwrapping/rewrapping I was thinking to myself: "man this might go easier if I took it out of the sheath..." but I didn't. Grateful.

Second day I had my Izula I was putting it in its sheath, on my belt. Right in the "love handle area"............. Oh yeah, opened my love handle area right up. Really need to drop about 15 or 20 and get rid of "love handle area"! Izula hasnt got me since. I just it was just telling me to be healthier. What a great knife!
