Izula - Blood Goddess

I must not be trying hard enough. Wrapped two Izulas and no bites (as above knock on wood). Going camping after the 4th and should have an RC(ESEE)4 to add to the family. Only time will tell.

Haha it's tradition for you to get cut wrapping your IZULA. And it seems to be a pretty common trend to get cut because you are reefing on the finishing knot and it pops out of the sheath. I didn't get it nearly as bad as some of you though O_O

I cut my thumb pretty damn deep wrapping my new Izula two nights ago. The knife flew out of the sheath when I was pulling on the cord real tight, leaving a vertical slice across my thumb print. I thought it was going to be worse than it was, but the knife came sharp enough that everything seems to be healing fast. That Nu Skin stuff is a miracle for situations like these.

I also got an Izula bite when I first wrapped it. Nothing bad, it was like a papercut on the inside of my right index finger where it meets the palm. Healed up nice, but boy did I feel stupid! Almost bit me again wrapping it last week, too... Nasty little bugger, it is. :p

I've been a professional woodworker for 20+ years. Get to use all kinds of cool machinery and have never had a mishap (knock on wood:eek:). Hand tools are another story. I usually visit the ER once a year for sticking a chisel in my hand.

Haven't been bit by my Izula yet but my ESEE 3MIL got me good. Thankfully New Graham supplies me with band-aids.:D

I'm about to get myself an Izulu.... Never knew how dangerous it is to cord wrap a knife....

So, I cleaned the unwrapped the mummy thumb and cleaned it but before I rewrapped it you know I took a picture.

looks like it needs to air out..

yeah it did... :) I aired it out for a couple of hours and re-wrapped it to sleep and for work (programmer) the next day. I'll wash it and air it out tonight for about 6 hours before I go to sleep. No work tomorrow so it go all day out and about scaring small children.

it'll scare good and if it were me I'd trim those stitches ,dang they look long...looks like they'd hang on everything
