Izula carry options?

Greetings,
Been knife-starved for a while even with how fine I am with my current EDC and Moras, but the Izula has become that woman in red across the bar. I have to at least try, or else I'll wonder what-if into my old age. I'm probably going to order two, one for me and one for a female friend I got into blades, but it may become a general use EDC as well as my wilderness necker. Coming over from shorter fixed blades, I'm really not sure how I'm going to conceal this thing in various outfits. I vary from casual jeans, to formal slacks and collared shirts, and winter coats being in Illinois.

For belt carry, I really dislike tek-loks, may order a Spyderco clip to use instead. I'm more accustomed to pocket carry with these little pins I got my Hideaway, and may try that out in a few angles. Finally, for some formal occasions where I'm stuck in a tucked polo shirt, would it be possible to tuck an elastic band through the slot in the sheath for ankle carry? I know it's not readily accessible, but in case I need to whittle something out of boredom or need to help set up for the event and cut some banners. For my pack-straps and molle-gear, the extras in the full kit will have me more than covered.

Any more urban users who manage to EDC an Izula casually?

You can drop the sheath in your front or back pocket with slacks and not have it be noticable. I'd EDC it if I didn't own a sebenza.

I carry it EDC horizontally with paracord over my left front pocket. Holds very well on my belt with no slippage. Love it. I got two Izulas and an Rc3.

I got word of a pretty slick leather setup coming down the pike in the near future.

No details just yet but it looks pretty slick.;)

I find it a bit large as a necker under a T-shirt...
I sometimes carry mine in my right front pants pocket.
You tether the sheath to a belt loop with a bit of cord.

That way you have the option of either popping it out with your thumb, or just pulling on the handle. When the cord goes taught, the knife releases.

A homemade gutted paracord fig 8 harness allows an under the left arm carry and does not show under clothing. Otherwise, front pocket in my jeans!

I use this pocket sheath from Knivesshipfree.com. I slip it in my back pocket. Just looks like a comb sticking out of pocket. I can draw and re-sheath without the sheath coming out of pocket.

Snazzy pocket sheath! I may be getting into kydex once I get the time and funds, odds are I'll make a little necker sheath for redundancy and to give me some more options. How tight are the factory sheaths for more unusual carry methods?

Factory sheath is tight enough to carry in any position you wish. When I go to the woods I carry my Izula upside down with a neck lanyard, in my factory sheath.

i just made myself one like this, but it hold my wallet and a becker necker (the Izula is in the mail). I had no idea there was a commercially available version of this. yum

For belt carry, just loop some paracord onto the sheath and you can use that to string your belt through. Whatever direction and position is up to you. You could always carry it in waistband too. If you need to tuck in your shirt and the pockets are deep enough, you could just drop it into a pocket (you could do so in general but I prefer not to since I already have enough stuff in my pockets.

If you were to try to do something like ankle carry, I would suggest neck carry or a harness like the mercharness over ankle carry. it might just be me but I've never been comfortable with the concept of ankle carry or sticking a knife into my boot. It just seems to make walking around kinda annoying.

like the pocket sheath, but i prefer mine more out in the open . molle clip just past the curve of the hip to the backside, on the belt. both for in the woods and for common carry. i like the easier retrival off the belt than having to dig into the pockets, and in certain situations time and speed are everything.

I have a wookie kydex. It's slim, just like the Izula and slides in my front or back pocket, or I just slip it in my wallet or I hang it as a necker.
