I've been thinking about trying a fixed blade EDC for a bit and am considering the Izula. I was just wondering how you all carry yours.

I'm not comfortable with carrying it on my belt, simply due to high visibility. I've heard that some carry "in pocket." Do you mean just in the sheath and loose? Let me know.

It would be great if there were some sort of "pocket sheath" available (anybody skilled in those crafty areas?).

www.knivesshipfree.com. derrick sells sharpshooter sheaths for pocket carry that would fit the izula. sheath prints like a wallet in the pocket. it is flat, leather, and comfortable to carry, and will fit many small fixed blades.

The IZULA fits in the larger section of this pocket sheath like a hand in a glove. The smaller section is to narrow but of course can be used for something else.

I like the TEK-LOC on mine..carries very well vertical or horizontal and can be removed from belt w/o taking belt off !

carry mine paracord tied to bottom of sheath other end tied to belt everything in pocket

I would think that would be an excellent way to carry it. You could make the paracord short enough that the knife was off the bottom of your pocket. You would never even know it was there!

Mine just slides in the right leg carpenter pocket of jeans. You can barely see it but it is easy to reach.

I do the same. I just loop the paracord around my beltloop. That way I can pull the knife out quickly if need be and the sheath just dangles until it's time to put it away.

It also allows me to quickly remove it from the beltloop and put it around my neck if I'm going to be using it alot.

I do this as well...Izula hangs upside down in my pocket with paracord through the bottom hole in the sheath and attatched to my belt. It feels and rides like folder (hardly noticeable), but has the advantage of being a kick ass RAT fixed blade! There is about 1" or so of sheath sticking out of the pocket of my jeans which is covered by my shirt and out of sight. When I need to use it, I just pull it out and the sheath hangs off my belt. Since I discovered this way of carrying my Izula, I've abandoned my folders.
