Thanks, it's brand new because I just got the set up for my son after he lost his sodbuster on a hike. He'll have some trouble losing that.

Get some orange paracord and slap a small lanyard on it for good measure. :thumbup:

@ BryFry: OMG! how did you do the lettering?

The patina on my 6 is gun blue applied with a sponge. Then washed off with cold water. You can practically apply it in any design you like.

That is pretty sweet looking! I can't believe how blue it looks. Is that mostly a trick of the camera, or is it bright blue in person? Looks like you filed your own serrations too?

Oh yeah, I got the deep etching of lettering and logo on mine by soaking the blade in PCB etchant for two days, before I stripped off the factory coating.

Yes, I filed in serrations. In person the patina on the izzy is a darker blue/ black.

I will have to try the etchant on mine when I strip it!

This is my first ESEE Izula, and I've tried multiple different handle wrappings and paracord grips, but haven't settled on one to leave on it yet...
