Izula: Neck or pocket

i carry one in a hoopster sheath,or one in the factory sheath with para-cord belt loops or in my pocket in a ksf pocket sheath. i got 3 to pick from each morning. green, black or tan. and all have handles.

In Ohio it is my opinion that in the pocket carry would be considered a concealed weapon. Of course carrying it around the neck under your shirt would be too. I know other states are different because guys carry small fixed blades all over thre place in Atlanta and I've asked them about it. Know your states laws.

I think I will get an Izulu at Blade and make a horizontal sheath for it just left of my belt buckle. I can't stand to have things around my neck.

Pocket. I dont like things around my neck. If i get into a fight i dont want anything around my neck that my opponent can strangle me with.

Glad to know it's not just me.

Belt with a mini Tek-Lok or dummy corded and into a pocket.

I wear mine mainly around my neck. I don't even notice it's there. Other than that, in the ruler pocket on my Carhart pants.

Pocket/belt, FTW. Neck carry will just end up all over the place if you need it in any position except standing straight up. This isn't even about SD (well, mostly it's not), but for when you're lying on your side, your back, on your knees, you name it. You always want the knife to be where you put it because you never know when rapid acquisition can be important.

I carry my Izula in my front right pocket most of the time. Sometimes I will utilize the neck carry, but I prefer the Izula in my pocket.

i put the molle attachment that comes in the kit through my pants beltloop.

I carry my izula horizontally on my belt, just left of the buckle most of the time. Just a little bit of paracord and a cord lock secures it very well. Usually, I wear my shirts untucked and the knife disappears. If I have to be dressed more formal, I just slip it in my left hip pocket.

I like to carry mine on my belt like this:

I threw a molle lock on there with 2 screws, no washers and it really works great!!

EDIT 5/18/2010

I switched the molle lock to the other side (side with the slot instead of 2 holes) and I really like it. It actually fits better this way.

Also this way it is harder for it to catch on something from the front.

Had my Izula for about a week now, been carrying in my front right pocket. Carries great! Thank you guys at R.A.T. for such a great product line of knives. Will definitely be puchasing more in the near future.

why the concern about concealed carry. the bad guys dont worry about it so im going to take my chances.

At home, either in my front right pocket or around my neck. When out and about, always front right pocket.

Usually that argument is used for simply carrying the knife/gun. Reason to keep it in mind is the ownage one would receive if stopped by the police. Criminals obviously wouldn't care at all. Just stay away from places with guaranteed checks like airports/museums and you should be fine.

I have a firearms and dangerous weapons concealed carry permit so it's not an issue for me. My issue is real estate. I already have a gun/holster on my right hip and a spare magazine and nova-tac flashlight in a combo carrier on my left hip, so belt space is limited. Have a folder clipped to inside left front pocket and cell phone in right front, so pockets are taken up as well. I carry on my neck because it's what works with everything else.

Mine spends most of its carry time around my neck...but sometimes in a cargo pocket.

I carry with a custom kydex IWB with a low profile pocket clip that i made from an old CRKT First Strike sheath.

But most of the time its slapped on the velcro of the CCW pocket of my Maxpedition tactical attache.
If i carry around the neck, (which is very rare) i slid some ball chain through the inside of some parachord, so its the parachord touching my neck, but if someone yanks it, the ball chain is going to come loose

No neck - I don't like that.

Pocket, IBW which works fine with the handle slabs on as well, or in a home-brew mercharness
