Izula Scales - Love 'em!

Anybody else using loc-tite on these? If you are, and you got Loc-tite all over your scales, like someone who shall remain nameless did (me) you can remove the Loc-tite with Goo Gone. Just FYI... ;)

Gave my izula it's first workout this w/e and made fuzz sticks and wittled like nobody's business. Ordered scales last night! Thanks for the thread!

Those Izula scales really make the knife alot better to hold onto & more comfortable to use!.

Amen. Having a set of slabs that were hand fit to each knife would be even more comfortable but the cost would go way up. I am more than pleased with the slabs as they are now. They are a big improvement over para-cord wrapping.

i love the scales and im not to sure i would like them if they were the full length of the tang, they seem to fill my hand well enough as they are while allowing for a full range of different hand positions without becoming uncomfortable

I've said before, but I think the scales really make the knife.

I had mine about two weeks before I bought the scales. When I tried to do some heavier cutting (notching branches, etc) with the knife either naked or cord wrapped, it kept trying to turn sideways in my hand. I wasn't really afraid of losing my grip on the knife and cutting myself, but it wasn't comfortable to use.

The scales make the knife, in my opinion, infinitely more comfortable to use, and they can also serve as an orientation guide if you're cutting in less than perfect lighting conditions, or are trying to find the knife and sheath in the dark.

And they look good.

The place I ordered my second Izula was out of handles, so I should be getting a naked Izula tomorrow that'll have to sit around until I get handles.

For $13, give or take a few cents, you've got nothing to lose.
