Izula sheath w/o neck loop?

I've been looking for something in Kydex, but didn't want to have to special order something. Does such a sheath already exist and is it readily available? I've done a few searches, but most seem to lead back to the normal sheath that the Izula comes with.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
 
What is it about the sheath that you don't like? Not really sure what your looking for.

At any rate, I don't think you'll find anything aftermarket for the Izula just yet.

There are quite a few good benders around here who could make you something up. Dlyside is a regular around this forum and could make you up something like what your looking for for a good price and he has the knife so you wouldn't have to send your blade away.
 
I really like the sheath for belt carry, but can't seem to find a good spot for it when I'm carrying something larger than a day pack. My multiday pack doesn't have a loop on the shoulder strap otherwise I'd rig up the sheath there with a inverted cross drawn style setup.
I've realized that it would fit just about perfectly into the pouch on my Survival Sheath, but I don't want to store it in there without a sheath. The material needed for hole on the end of the Izula's sheath makes the setup just a tad too long for it fit in the pouch, so basically I'm just looking for a shorter sheath.
 
Oh, OK, I see where your going with this.

I don't think your going to find much on the aftermarket but the turn around shouldn't be all too long for a knife like the Izula, it's pretty popular and alot of kydex guys have them already.

You could just trim the stock plastic sheath to fit into the pouch. Also, extra sheaths are available on the RAT web site.
 
any generic necker style sheath will fit, I have a kydex sheath from camillus BK11,Swamp rat SW and KSF leather pouch and the Izula fits all well in all + Dylan made me one real narrow that works great !
 
The Izula fits nicely in the Clovis sheath but the Clovis is 1.5" longer than the stock Kydex.

Kgd that looks like a nice sheath, I'm trying to find something that doesn't cover much more than the blade itself though. And Rowen I was thinking about doing just that and then just cleaning it up with some high grit sandpaper.
