*sigh*

I consider myself to be very careful... I've read the posts, seen the pics and been very careful so far... yeah.. so far...

two buddies were sitting in my office.. chatting... i'm playing with the izula and some paracord on the handle.. went to pull the cord tight.. and you guessed it...

popped out of the sheath, sliced the HELL out of my hand... would have taken pictures but i'm sure I would have bled to death.. :-)

had to put pressure on it for over an hour before it stopped bleeding... and it's still "leakin" a little 2 and a half hours later...

lesson learned....

Mine got me the same way when I first got mine about 8 months ago, now I extra careful how I hod the sheath while withdrawin' the blade.

I wonder if it will become an issue later if enough people get bit, for me it's a non issue, you'll only bite me once, (unless I like it :)).

Geez , Guess we are going to laser etch a cut finger symbol on the Izula to be OSHA approved LOL :D
all the warnings signs & threads are not enough ... " ye read yet you still bleed " ;)
hope you heal quickly... flesh count is up this year must have something to do with 10K Izulas out there :)

Its all psychological. People read about and get cut, these people get cut too and post about it.

1 person cuts himself and posts his cut. 5 people read it and get cut. All 5 post it and for each of the 5, 5 others read it and get cut. They post their cuts and.... need i go on? :D

How about Izula training and operations classes, than a lazer etch that says:

Operation of this tool by any other than qualified persons can result in injury

Operation of this tool while under the influence may result in severe injury

Operation of this tool by immature adults may result in loss of _______
:D

:D

not enough steel in the Izula to laser etch that :D
change logo to skull & cross bones with X'd out eyes . :D

I managed to wrap mine blood-free. I've sliced/diced myself on enough edges in the past to be extra careful.

I bet you'll be the office laughing stock for the next week ;) Yo, the dude in that cubicle impaled himself with his schnazzy pocket knife yesterday right in front of us...

LMAO ! :thumbup::D

Note: Once said knife leaves sheath ,it's good to go whether you wanted it to come out or not. Beware ;)

We need a "wall of shame" thread...don't worry its happened to us all one time or another with one blade or another. I stabed my self in the upper thigh with my BHK bushcrafter, went in about an inch and a half. Damn spoon carving marathon. Took the half finnished spoon to the ER so my wife wouldn't get blamed for tring to do me in.

at first i thought there was gonna be a pic of an izula with sweet bow drill divot-modified scales....

first or second time i wrapped mine, blade popped out and bit the first joint on my left pinky. last time i wrapped it, it got me again.
