I've seen some of you guys have both and was wondering if you could comment on the differences. I have a Becker right now but I'm thinking about an Izula real hard. The fact that there might be scales I can add on is what tipped the scale for this as a new edc.

What if you could get the Becker blade with the Izula handle? That'd be sweet, eh?

Actually I'm kinda liking the looks of the Izula blade better. The things I don't like about the becker are the choil/sharpening notch and the funky finger groove.

The Izula is more ergonomic and overall smaller. I don't have big hands and the Becker is sort of a three finger knife for me but my whole hand can wrap around the Izula. Just get them both. I can't decide which one is better, they are just different.

I can see i don't yet have the right number of those damn Izula's in my house. I am missing OD, and Tan.

The Izula definitely has a more ergonomic handle. It's blade also seems to be angled down a little, which helps with cutting leverage.
I've put an olivewood handle on the Becker, and upon heavy usage I found it VERY ergonomic. I'd actually love to see and Izula with a bit longer blade.
Also, I don't know why, but the Izula seems to hold the edge a little longer.
I'm going to make custom olivewood handle for the Izula also, and then compare them with pix and such.
Also, I really dig the bottle cap opener on the becker. I actually used it once to pop open a tomato jar. It is more useful than people credit it for.

I love em both, and alternate daily. I like the larger blade of the BK, and find the handle comfortable for my hand. I do think the Izula might be a better slicer, and believe it hold an edge just the slightest bit better. I actually prefer the BK sheath for paracording to my belt in horizonal carry. I don't like the layout of the rat sheath as much, but it does fit a large Tec Loc if you like to carry that way.

They are both tremendous knives, and I think everyone should have at least one of each!:D

Nah - I say own both - I owned an Izula for a bit and got rid of it a little prematurely and now wish I wouldn't have. I enjoy the blade on the Izula, from what I remember. IMO my Becker Necker is a great knife but I wish it had more of a defined tip as the Izula does.

To each his own though. I like both knives.

I don't own the Izula yet, but I have a Becker San Mai Necker and a Buck Pak-lite. I like the Becker blade, but the handle isn't real comfy. The Pak-lite has a much better grip, it's actually a pretty decent little blade for $15....
