Izula vs Becker Necker

Right now I'm contemplating adding a neck knife to my lineup.

Currently it is down to the Izula, Becker BK11 or the H.E.S.T.

I like the little longer blade and full size handle on the HEST. Plus it has a better point to it.

I like the Becker's location of the bottle opener better. But I haven't used one of those in more years than I care to count.

RAT's heat treat is undeniably superior.

I wonder how the San Mai BK11's perform?

id have to vote for the H.E.S.T i think its an amazing carry knife for everyday use. i love the bottle opener and the blade has enough length to make it useful for most every task you could imagine.

personally id like to see a tanto H.E.S.T it would perfectly fulfill my urban EDC Role.

Because I can't find HT specs to compare the Rats and Beckers, can you please provide for me?
Both the Izula and BK 11 are 1095, you have to get 1095 to about 57-59 Rockwell (give or take) to make it a knife....what does RAT do to make it "superior", pray tell.

Dangit mneedham! I was gunna be the first to get one of those paklites and wrap it all sweet like and post it up here! Beat me to it! :)

That looks pretty slick. For $15 bucks, you could buy it and spend a little more and have a sweet kydex sheath made for it.

I really like the jimping on the spine of the blade. I wish the Izula had something like that.

I tell you what. I just got my Izula a few days ago. VERY impressed. I'm trying to work it into my setup while on duty. I can see it totally replacing my folder while on patrol. We will see.

I have both. The Becker just sits in my car as a back-up blade. The Izula is usually on my person. Much better handle on the Rat, the BK-11 is only a three finger knife. For neck carry the Izula is a much more manageable size, sheath and all.

My BRKT necker shipped thursday USPS first class. Should get here around three with my somehow French mailman. YUM

Izula on my neck, BK-11 in the pocket sheath, Where will the bravo go?

Bravo necker came today. It will replace the BK11 in my back pocket, mostly because I am not fond of the kydex sheath. (i smell a leather one being made by me in the near future)

My CSM BK-11 is back in its original pants, and slated to go in the gunsafe with the other knives that don't make it onto my person daily.

The Bravo Necker is slightly smaller than the Izula, but it slices better due to the convexish grind and lack of paint on the blade. The handle is a little diminutive without any scales, so I gave mine a paracord wrap. We shall see which one I end up using more, Izula or BRKT.

Tenacious is right, the Bravo necker displaces the BK11 in this debate. Everyone should still have all 3, but the smaller two are the more practical.

The Izula has finally convinced me that it excells the BK11. I still love the Becker, but the Rat is smaller but does the same chores....perhaps a bit better, and though smaller is clearly more comfortable and easier to control. Now....the Bravo....OH NO.....not another great knife I must have....

I must have one too, because it come in ORANGE!!!

It will be interesting to see how the Bravo necker stacks up against the Izula in the long run. One factor not to be overlooked is the price. At $50 the Izula is very obtainable and I hope that never changes.
