izula vs bk11

I don't own an izula but the bk11 is a good sized nice edc blade. But the can opener at the bottom is kind of a pain. IMO get the bk14 or izula the handle shape is better. Ill probably be picking up the 14 soon.

I love both of these, but I like the ergos of the izula handle (same handle on both knives). Bk14 has a bigger blade amd is cheaper, but the stock sheath sucks (as does the bk11 sheath) and a kydex or leather sheath is recommended so figure that in your cost. Izula stock sheath is fine, but I had a snakeskin leather embossed kydex custom sheath made for my izula by 710 custom sheaths here on BF. azwelke did my bk14 kydex sheath.

Don't really care for the 11, bought the 14 though. Returned it the next day, to me it felt way blade heavy and the sheath was garbage. Ended up getting an izula, several months later yet another. My opinion is that the Izula is a far better executed knife and sheath system.just feels natural in the hand. And will fill its role perfectly. Aside from my 2 izulas, the only fixed blades I own are manufactured by Ka bar.

That's the same issue I had with both Beckers... they tend to be blade-heavy compared to my other small FBs and I don't like that in a smaller knife. The Izzy was pretty neutral and carried well. I still have two of them. My wife hangs the BK14 in her art studio and uses it there. It's fine for that, I just didn't like carrying it and using it for my stuff.
 
Thank you all. I wanted the usual from the start just because of its size and compactness and just overall looks. If anyone has one for cheap I will buy it.
 
The Izula is better than the becker and the Izula 2 is better than both. I've owned all three. The ergos are just better on the 2.
 
Izula. The BK 11 handle has always bugged me. I took off that garbage on the butt of the handle, and it turned out nice, but short. Then came out the BK14. So much better. Izula's handle is suberb.
 
I own the Izula, Izula II, BK14 and the BK11 and I definatly prefer the Izula II over all of them any day!

Same here though I had to stop because I found that on the belt with my shirt covering it is a no no in my state. It really was the most comfy way I found to carry it. In fact I'm still looking for a good alternative. Sigh.
 
I don't own an Izula, but I love my BK14.

As for the blade being too heavy... do more bicep curls? :)
