Izula vs. Izula II

I greatly prefer the Izula II over the Izula. Grips that cover the entire handle of the Izula improve it quite a bit but good grips on the Izula II still make it stand out to me. The 2nd knife from top down has the custom grips from TKC which are my favorite.

What is that knife in the very middle with the ghost scales? Bark River?

Bark River Bravo Necker with Ghost Green Jade G10 scales

OP: I prefer the longer handle of the Izula II. TKC G10 aftermarket scales take it to a whole new level imo as well.

I prefer the xtra length of the II. I like to carry with a TekLok on my belt, horizontal in front

I have both and like everyone else said the extra length on the Izula II is better to grip.

I gave away my Izula after I got my Izula II.

I have both, and like them both. I have no problem with the shorter Izula I grip (even with XXL hands), and even use the littlest sibling...the Candiru (all of them have scales). That being said, it depends on whether you're carrying for planned or incidental tasks. I find the larger handle of the II is more comfortable for extended/hard use. There are so many color and scale options it's easy to create your ideal.

I just got Izula 2 and quite like it. The I took a lot of measurements before deciding. The rattling sheath needs modification.

I shortened the sheath from the bottom since I don't plan to carry this as a neck knife but either in the pocket or belt. The extra length was an unnecessary nuisance.
