Izula w/Tek-Lok

I added a Tech-Lok to my Izula sheath. The Bladetech thingy just didn't work for me.

Nice looking set-up.;)

tek loc does not slip around, and I stash ?????? in it & my firesteel striker under it to save the edge of my Izula ..

your correct it is the large TEK-LOC and I removed the sizing shim,I dont care for it.... I need to pick up a few more...

Not a bad edition to the knife at all. I bought an Izula and soon sold it because I didn't care for the sheath at all.

Your addition to it allows for much more options in carry. Thanks for posting this, it just shows what a little thinking can do.

the Izula is a great knife and many aftermarket sheathing options available... IMO RAT Cutlery makes some of the finest sheathes to accompany there knives.RC makes a excellent knife and does not skip the quality of sheathing needs unlike others...

+1.

And if you really, really cant get into the factory sheathing....it would be quite easy to have someone fold one or sew one up for you.

The fact that RAT supplies a good quality USER'S sheath is what really pushes them over the top value-wise. There are decent knives on the market -- that typically come with crappy sheaths -- so you have to figure in an extra $60 + shipping to get to a comparable set up. The sheath cost alone gets you pretty close to a RAT knife price with a great sheath included. And they sell spares for when you damage the original or wear it out. Most companies figure if you wear out the factory sheath, too bad. You'll just have to get a custom one made or buy a new knife.
