I read it would make it half an inch thick but since mine still aren't here I can't confirm that.

They feel great, and yes they are exactly 1/2" thick on the knife. I measured mine with the paracord wrap, and it was 3/8th", so the scales add another 1/8th, so no big different.

Still carried under my shirt this afternoon just fine.

They went right on in about 10 seconds, just need a small hex bit and your good to go.

I will probably order another set for my DT Izula as well. These scales really put the Izula over the top as a real working blade!

I think so too, I actually think if they covered almost the whole handle with a notch cut out for a lanyard they would be perfect.

However, I just got mine in the mail today and these feel pretty good in the hand as they are and the whole aesthetics thing . . .well they are growing one me.

Is it just bad camera angle that makes the bottom scale look not lined up (looks to be further toward the blade tip than the top one), or is the bottom scale really not lined up with the top scale?
