Izula's First Outing, A Day of Looking At My Feet...

Sure as heck am at CSU. I'm a sophomore this year. The house my GF and I are renting this year is pretty close to Horsetooth as well. It's on Azalea Dr. if you know where that is. You do much fishing? Maybe we'll have to meet up some time.

Not to freak you out. I'm less than a block from you. I'm on Sumac.... And I wanna fish more. I need to get all my gear back in one place, and get a fishing license.

We should meet up. I'm at CSU as well. I'm a third year student there.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

I would like to learn more about edible mushrooms and plants down here in south texas...I got the prickly pear cactus and fruit down but what else?

I love the dog. I got two aussies myself. Roo is four and as smart a dog as I have ever had. Boomer is 11 months, I'm hoping he picks up her smarts some where along the way. He is still a lot of puppy. Great pics.

We've got another Aussie at home, Sadie, she's about 4 and a half. Great dog, a little neurotic about about balls and sticks and stuff, but one smart dog. Bubba is 2 in September, he's just as smart as Sadie is. He's my GF and my dog. So he's up in CO with us now. He's a big guy too, 73 pounds, Sadie is probably 50 or so.

Not sure where Sumac is... hmmmm. I'll look on a map later. Fishing is my big number 1 hobby. I do all types. Fort Collins is a great area for it too. currently my favorite is ice fishing, and there are so great lakes for it within a hour drive. Last season I took a buddy out for his first icing trip and we caught 60 trout in 2 hours. That was a great day. I do a lot of my fishing in the Red Feather Lakes Area. I'll shoot you an email later tonight, my GF an I are just moving in today so we're not really set up at all. :p

PS. I started the thread, I'll hijack it every which way I want to! Haha. Mushrooms, dogs and fishing.

I drove right through Fort Collins just under two months ago when I moved from Houston to Boise via Penske truck. I took it slow, 5 days, and saw all the sights. I had been driving all morning from Colorado Springs and needed to stretch my legs so I pulled off on a random trailhead in Teddy Roosevelt, wound up being the Lion's Peak access. What an amazing hike it was, great elevation change, clear stream that crisscrossed the trail all the way to the summit, saw 7 different mountain orchids, and it opened up on the top to reveal 6 or 7 different homestead ruins. Roaming fields on the top filled with wild lillies and other rare mountain flowers, raptors and humming birds were all over. Probably the nicest hike I've ever done in my life, and it was completely random. Best part is my arthritic hips were pain free that day. You live in an awesome spot there.
