Here's a bowie I made to take to the Blade Show, which means it is now available for purchase. This is a perfect size, I think. Not too big, not too small. This is fairly light and fast in hand. The handle fills the hand well and is very comfortable. It is razor sharp.

Specs:
Hand forged from 1095 steel, 'No-Clay' polished hamon
13 1/4" overall, 8 1/2" blade, .200" at the ricasso w/ full distal taper
Clip is *just* shy of sharp
Heavily rounded spine and ricasso
Fluted damascus guard and damascus collar
Coined copper spacers
Stabilized Koa handle
Damascus bolt cover

The knife will come with a custom lined and hand tooled sheath, custom made for this knife by master sheath maker Claude Scott. It's on the way to Claude now. I will add pics of sheath when it's finished. Padded zipper case and micro fiber towel will also be included.

Price is $1250 shipped to the US. International buyers must pay actual shipping cost. I accept paypal, check or money order. Funds must clear prior to shipping.

Here I'm trying to show the hamon. It's not as boring as it seems at first glance. All kinds of little strictures in the main transition line. You can also barely see all the banding above the main line. I really have trouble capturing the detail in these polished blades.

Understated elegance - I really like it John

Thanks agarino!

Thank you TK!

I appreciate the comments guys.

Another beauty John. Your work is consistently impressive. As a woodworker I'd like to know how you add that very clean and perfectly executed concave edge detail at the pommel- one of your signature details. Is it a pommel when it's not a separate piece? Anyway - you know what I mean.

Great knife

Thanks Rob.

Thanks Ray. I do the concave fluting by hand with a file. Takes a little time but it's worth it. It's the only way I know to get it even around all the curves and contours.

To add to the compliments, that has to be one of the most beautiful knives i have ever seen. And not a huge wooden handle guy but koa seems to always do it for me. Looking at knives like this make me want to make them. Like hearing a song so good that you want to make music. Great work!

Thanks Matt.

Thank you Sigsog. I appreciate the comments.
