Here is a T. Ellin & Co. that I have with the Vulcan mark. Knife is also 3 1/2" closed. Tweedale says T. Ellin was founded in 1784. He mentions the Vulcan mark, but doesn't say when it was first used. The company produced knives until about 1934, when Joseph Elliot & Sons took over the factory and the marks. I believe my knife is a later one. I had thought that the handle material was a composition of some sort. Some over on AAPK believe it to be pressed horn? I have included a few detail pics of the handle material.
