This is a J. Neilson 14 1/4" forged Spear Point Bowie based on Bill Moran's design.
9" blade of 5160, hand rubbed, scalloped choil and top swage.
nickel-silver guard and threaded pommel with file work accents.
handle is Curly Maple with a throat of Hippo Ivory and nickel-silver spacer. there is a silver wire inlay in a Dragon motif on both sides. the hippo Ivory has a stable and tight crack which was present when sold by J.
it comes with 2 sheaths, also made by J., one of which has a Dragon carving to match the handle Dragons.

my pics are not the best, but this same knife can be seen on J. Neilson's website under Bowie Knives. http://www.mountainhollow.net/bowieknives2.htm

Price is ($685usd) reduced to $600, which includes PP fees and shipping via USPS Priority, insured. this will net me about $650 which i think is very reasonable for this knife.
Now SOLD. Thanks for looking

forgot to add that this knife has not been used (though it is has great user potential, not just a show piece) and has been stored out of sheath in my safe.

My collection interests are now focused on smaller knives so i really would like to pass this Bowie on to another collector.
if you are interested, please PM or email me an offer (rprocter@telus.net).

I really am in need of some urgent cash, so how about $600, still includes PP fees and shipping as above.
This is a very good price for a Custom knife of this size and especially one made by "J." and with 2 fine sheaths and being inclusive of PP fees and shipping as above.
You can check his website for current prices.

I'm going down to Northport WA. Saturday to mail off a knife. It's a long drive and i'd prefer to have more than one to mail off.
If anyone is interested in this knife how about sending me a offer ?
