Well, I just picked this up, but now, sadly, I am forced to sell this incredible kitchen knife. I have used it twice in the kitchen and sharpened it. J. Neilson described the knife in part as follows:
These German-style Chef's knives are made from wide industrial high carbon band-saw steel (15N20 or L-6 depending on the blade).
These knives are 14 1/2" long overall with a 10" cutting edge. The blades are 2 3/16" at their highest point (spine to edge) and
just over .060" at the spine. The blades are treated with my "antiqued" finish to help prevent corrosion and the handles are set with stainless steel handle bolts.
This particular knife has English Walnut wood handle scales. Fit and finish is typical of what one would expect from a Mastersmith.
Shipped new from the maker, this knife would cost $138. I would like to get $120 ***SPF!!!***shipped CONUS. As from the maker, an 18" carrying case is included with this knife.
No trades at this time. The first unequivocal "I'll take it!" here in this thread gets it. The picture below is from J's website.
