Neilson is now a Mastersmith. This knife has his JS stamp.
It is a beautiful knife with fine lines, a ironwood handle and recurve blade.
The reason I am letting this go so cheaply is that the ironwood has developed a crack in the one side of the handle. The ironwood is stabilized so not sure how that happened. Never carried or used.
Every thing appears sound and tight; so I do not think it effects anything but the cosmetics. A good opportunity to get a knife from a MS cheap and one you can use and not worry about value.
I would imagine if it bothers you that much JN would probably fix it for you - I just never bothered. Two nice sheaths by maker as well - one a cross draw - can be used left or right handed. Belt sheath looks like a lefty.
9 1/2" ovl 5" blade If anyone cares he is also a judge on the TV show forged in fire (or whatever they call it)
Asking $205 shipped with PP no trades
