J.S Test knives

Hello Billy. The test knife looks good, real good! The knives do look better since I last saw them. We can look at them again in a few weeks. You are doing good work. See you in Old Washington. We need another Okie J.S.

Billy,

Looking good! I've been out working on mine tonight. Look forward to seeing them in person in Atlanta.

Nice to see what other hopefulls are making, thanks for sharing! Just back in the house from grinding away on my own. Like Tad I can't wait to see them all in Atlanta.

All the best,

Haley

Looking great! Congrats on passing the performance test! I wish I had four of my five done, I do have two and I'm working on the third. What will you be making for the fifth knife?

See you at Blade.

Billy,

Congratulations. Your almost there and from what I've seen you'll have no problem.

The Little Giant rebuilding class was this last weekend and ran into a mutual friend. I apologize for not remembering his name but he was from Rogers Arkansas and he comes over to your Thursday night events.

Good luck in Atlanta.

Wow Thank you fellers for all the encouragement, and I cant wait to see all of you in Atalanta. It sounds like I will be in good company with the other hopeful's .

I am going to Old Washington hammer in and hit Brion and some more M.S up for some more critiquing, as much the trip to Atlanta cost I want to be as sure as one can be that I can pass. I am sure there will be more things to tweak. Maybe there will be some more hopefuls there.

Kyle I am thinking about a large camp knife with bolsters. I am kinda hung up on the last knife design or type. Just one more thing to ponder

Hi Billy. Knives look great and I really like your selection of handle materials. Very cool. So, I noticed you were planning on a large camp knife for your fifth. I'd hate to steer you wrong or make you crazy here, but how about mixing it up a bit? How about an integral or even a dagger? A camp is really no different than a Bowie or a fighter when you boil it down. Just a little bigger or smaller is all. Your first four show you obviously have the skill for a clean piece with good grindlines and guard fit-up. Now, it might be fun to really challenge yourself and see where that takes you. Remember there is the Peck Award waiting one of you guys too. -M
