Here's the response i got when i inquired about purchasing one of Jake's compasses he mentioned in a post regarding the Rat fire starter...

Just shoot me your address, and you can have one.
No charge man. dont need all of these things LOL!!

Jake's good people and I took archery up again because of his giving. Congrats to all that score off his generosity.
 
I spent about an hour on the phone with Jake yesterday, all I got was headache:eek:

Hey man, Thank you, im glad you like it. Those compasses IMO are the best value. They are very accurate, right on with my cammenga. Not to mention, no liquid to get a bubble.

Best knife in the world you got there. The HWK. Whatta blade!!!!!
 
here are my favorite knives, after i got these i started selling off my "keepers" they just couldn't hold a candle to these...wait till you see the modification Ray did to my sheaths. They are in the mail right now but i will get a pic posted when they show up. Again thanks Jake for the kindness.

man those are nice steve. Its no secret around here that i am a HUGE fan of Rays stuff. I just got word that this one is done except for the leather, and will be in my hands soon!

I will do a passaround on mine soon if nobody else does first, and after some of the other passarounds im in are closer to over....

They are wonderfull knives. Just got mine back from a rehandle by Breeden.

Oh, and thanks man! Its my first Bowie!!

What kind of compass is it? I am thinking the no liquid thing would be nice.

Sounds good, Jake. Been wanting to get my mitts on one of those HWKs for a while now. I miss my old Laconico EDC that I had to sell off a while back. And I have a feeling you're gonna enjoy that bowie immensely. It looks like an incredibly stout blade.
