Can't find another post, so I'll keep everyone minded.

no photo yet, but I'm moving up to a 20kg kettlebell shortly. Massive strides- finally popped down to 212-214, got a couple more inches off my gut.

Major changes? 1: large BDUs are getting loose.

2: I can do pullups. I'm now doing ladder sets 3,2,1 a couple times a day.

I got crazy lazy since I've been nursing a busted shoulder. My diet got lazy also - I need to get back on track - thanks for the reminder.

Congrats Christoff  the true test will be maintaining throughout the upcoming holidays and festivities :D

I'm going to begin my own training very soon... thinking about joining the Army and going through the X-Ray program... civilian>>special forces.

Good work, keep it up!!

Congrats Christoff  the true test will be maintaining throughout the upcoming holidays and festivities :D

Since my diet includes zero sugar and wheat/corn, I should do fine :)

I'm also not leaving my kettlebell home- I even took it to the last gun show and whipped out swings in the parking lot a couple times a day.

:) Thanks Christof! Ive been meaning to start another thread, but got sidetracked.....

Good to hear youre still motivated, and seeing results.

Me? Im still lifting 3x a week, running intervals 3x a week, and riding the surly 15-20miles 3-5x a week.

Diet is good, Organic, no processed foods

Keep it up! Those kettleballs are awesome!

Way to go so far guys! I've had a bit of a setback but am still on the right track. Mother in law died recently so there have been a bit of restaurant food and other not so good choices. But.... I can almost run, am walking at least 8km per day, and am loosing waist size.

Congratulations on feeling and looking better.

I broke the 210 barrier last week and have maintained it this week so 209 at the moment. Weight loss has slowed to 1lb a fortnight rather than per week.

I need to up my exercise programme to burn more calories if I want more weight loss. I tried cutting calories again but I started to get hunger pangs so decided to increase output instead.

Definite drop in waist size - two holes on the belt down. I also fit into the belt I wore twenty years ago but on the last hole rather than the first :)

Two belt notches down and a new Jeans size for me...from a 42 to a 40.

At least its going in the right direction.

I'm still struggling to keep a constant routine. It is like feast or famine. I have 3-4 days where I'm constantly busy then the rest I'm not too busy. Not going to bother posting a pic. Also can't weigh myself the machine isn't working right. Keep it up the rest of you.

Do one thing every day- the one thing that's saving me is doing 100 swings (sorta like doing 25 pushups and 40 situps with 30 jumping jacks) EVERY day. everything else I do is goals and bonus, but EVERY day, 100 swings

I am trimming down too. I am looking at joining a new MMA school that opened nearby. After 28 years of martial arts, I am still excited to mix it up! I love being a student, teaching is great but you don't get the workout a student gets.
Diet is so much better. I eat whatever I want, but less sugar and smaller portions. I have learned that as I deprive myself, my desire for it increases. Oatmeal almost every day for breakfast helps a lot! And no more fancy coffee drinks-dark roast with a bit of cream and sugar. Cheaper and a hell of a lot less calories. Makes the scone taste just as good!

I have started to hit the gym pretty hardcore, I am making a metibolic routine with a couple of the guys I go to school with , down to 265 from my start of 318 in january,

with the new found love of the gym I am taking a course called CAN-Fit , it is the Canada standard for trainers, and I am looking into a nutritionalist course once I am done school and moving more to the personal fitness/wellness trainer ,

still another 40 to go until my goal weight and still no meat since january either,

no meat - that would be tough for me but it certainly seems to be working for you. Quick math says roughly 4 stone so far. Pretty impressive.

I must have missed prior posts on the subject, but I've been working hard to get myself in shape over the past year+....figured that after the mind, the body is probably one's number two survival tool.

I started by simply reducing my caloric intake, and have over time progressed to exercising 5-6 times/week...lots of running and resistance, lately.

383 lbs -> 231 lbs so far.

Well hats off to you Raskolnikov. That's a damn big step in the right direction.

I've gone from I think 255-260lbs to around 215-220lbs. I've gradually switched from 6 times a week heavy resistance training to alternate crossfit style circuits and weights. Not got into the running much to be honest but I monitored my heart rate during a circuit and it sat about 150-160bpm so that's enough of a cardio workout for me. I ran a 6 mile loop in 45 mins so that's good enough for me.

Working on driving my % fat down another point or two but still maintaining my strength and stamina.

I recently started a circuit of 5 pull-ups, 10 press-ups, 15 squats in a minute. Then start again. I'm at 35mins without going over time so i'm looking to get up to a full hour of this circuit just for fun.

Turned 32 a couple of weeks ago and i've rarely felt better. As an added bit of pressure i'm down to go as a Spartan for Halloween so need to watch the diet and push a little harder if i'm to look half decent.

not eating meat has help me really stay clear of the worst stuff to eat, like the big Mac, BBQ sauce and hot and ready pizza's , I have found that since I have started to work out, I have to take a protien supplement though, I was eating enough to sustain but not enough to build with. but the shakes are decent and have taken the place of lunch in most cases, I make them with a full seriving of fruit and skimmed milk, averaging about 300 calories with 28g protien.

still along way to go...

Outstanding job Raskolnikov...truly looking like a new man and I can guarantee you feel 1000 times better! Everybody at work is actually trying to put on weight:D I've got a good routine; dropped 10 pounds, but more importantly is that I'm in a good gym/workout routine. We work 7-days a week; no beer:mad:; dining facilities are okay, but I mostly eat salads and fruit. I have my whey protein powder on the way and plan to use it to just keep the metabolism up. Because of the hazards, dust and nastly smelling poo-pond on our FOB, I've only been doing the treadmill for cardio. Just did a our fitness test this morning and there's a big difference in running outside! All else is good to go. I've only have another month or so here, so I need to make the most of it as I'll be moving through December which will screw up my routine.

My boonie-hats off to all of you,

ROCK6

Great Job Man

Bad news- I've lost a grand total of 5# so far. The GREAT NEWS- yesterday I ran for the first time in 2 years and 2 months! Not much and I run like a child (I thought it was more like Forrest Gump but I was told to only run with my 3 year old daughter as then it looks like I am running for her and not running to the best of my abilities). Damn it feels good to be able to leave the ground again and get some motion back- plus my Physiotherapist wants to discharge me soon, more good news.

I won't win this contest but I won't quit either- I feel like I've already won (actually the 2.5 min. run yesterday hurts like hell today and I have a bit of limp back- but it is a good hurt).
