I sure like the beefy look of your pins my friend. You actually do them that big or is it just the way you do the heads? Is the pivot pin bigger than the standard as well?

Anyway, great job on this one. Love the way you did the bolsters and dovetailed it on both ends too. Beautiful timber as well. Let me know because I have been checking your work for a while wanting to know these things.

Hello STR,

Pivot Pin, Center Pin and Rear Bolster Pin are 3/32" 416 S.S.. The pins for scales are actually S.S. Fillister Head 2-56 screws that I grind O.D. of Head true to O.D. of Threads on my surface grinder with spin/indexing fixture. Liners are drilled and tapped for 2-56 threads. Scales are drilled and counterbored for screws. I apply epoxy to head and threads when I install, then sand off a little bit of head to remove screwdriver slot (I also epoxy Scales to Liners). Thanks for looking at and if you have any questions or need further information please feel free to contact me.

What a tank! I had no idea you went to such extremes to assemble those. Thanks for taking time to detail that out.

Wow I'm glad someone snatched this up. Mike makes such awesome knives; what a value! I kept telling myself "but I don't like wood handles!" every time I kept coming back to see if this one was still here. Thank you, mystery buyer!
